Music Director

Jacobus Pak Fu Chong born in Hong Kong. 1985 to 1990 study trumpet at Hong Kong Academy of Performing Arts (APA ) under Professor Henry Nowak ( USA ).  At year 3 at APA invited to be full time member of Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra as Utility Trumpet position. In 1991 KBS Symphony Orchestra, Seoul Korea invited to be Principal Trumpet until 1997. In 1998 Shanghai Symphony Orchestra invited Jacobus to be Principal Trumpet.  During stayed in Korea, Jacobus has been Professor of Korean National School of Music. 1999 to 2001 Professor of Shanghai Music Conservatory.  1985 receive Prize of Best Brass Performer for Young Musician in Hong Kong by Hong Kong Radio.  1991 invited by Pacific Music Festival, Japan to be Soloist and Principal Trumpet under Maestro Michael Tilson-Thomas (Music Director of San Francisco Symphony Orchestra).  1993 invited by Pacific Music Festival as Soloist performed for Emperor of Japan for UN University Grand Open Ceremonial.  As Soloist, Jacobus been performed with Moscow Chamber Orchestra, Pacific Music Festival Symphony Orchestra, Pacific Music Festival Chamber Orchestra, KBS Symphony Orchestra, Hong Kong Symphony Orchestra, Seoul Baroque Chamber Orchestra, Chong-Cu Symphony Orchestra, Korea, Shanghai Symphony Orchestra etc.  1997 Hong Kong Hand Over to China, formed best Chinese Musician Symphony Orchestra as Principal Trumpet.  2001 APEC Conference in Shanghai performed for 21 country’s President. December 2005: invited by the Shanghai Municipal Government to be a member of “Shanghai Overseas Chinese Musicians New Year’s Concert”.  Since 2008 as Principal Conductor of Hong Kong Tak Ming Philharmonic Orchestra.  2012 joined Hong Kong Chinese University Music faculty.
